Mylavaram Hello guys! In this blog I am going to tell you about places to visit in Mylavaram. Mylavaram is a village and a mandal in Kadapa district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Places to Visit in Mylavaram: Mylavaram Reservoir: Mylavaram dam is located in Mylavaram village in Kadapa district. It has a gross storage capacity of 9.96 TMCs and the dam is built to provide irrigation to about 75000 acres. The construction of this reservoir was started in 1971. By the end of 1981-82, the construction of the distributary system and canals was completed. This reservoir has two main canals. 25000 acres are being irrigated through one canal and 50000 acres through another canal. Around 13 villages were submerged during the construction of this dam. This dam has 13 gates as a symbol of those 13 cities. This reservoir is also known as Thathireddy Reservoir. You can watch the amazing sunset here.
